The Coal Creek Community Chorus
A Choral Ensemble for Singers in/around East Boulder County, Colorado
The Coal Creek Community Chorus is a vocal ensemble open to residents in and around Louisville, CO (including the communities of East Boulder County and Erie) who love to sing and are passionate about making exciting, beautiful music together. Rehearsing only once a week, the CCCC is designed to accommodate people from around the area who seek an expressive and musical outlet to round out their busy lives. The chorus is open to performing music of all styles, including classical, folk, jazz, spirituals, world music, Broadway, and contemporary pieces. There is no audition to join, and sheet music and rehearsal tracks will be provided for all members to practice their parts at their convenience between our weekly rehearsals.
Rehearsals are Mondays at the Boulder Valley Church of Christ (270 76th St, Boulder, CO 80303) from 6:40pm-7:55pm.

Performance: April 25
Enrollment Cost: $185 per member (which includes materials fee). You can pay this fee by credit card immediately upon registering. A $25 late registration charge will be added for members who do not submit their registration payment by February 12.
There is a $30 discount for choir members who live in the same household (spouses, partners, older children/parents, siblings), and a $30 discount for members who refer brand new members to the ensemble this term ($155 payment option available at checkout for discounts).
Coal Creek Community Chorus Director Stephen Ross
Stephen Ross is a singer, teacher, arranger, conductor, songwriter, and composer residing in Louisville, Colorado.
Soon after moving to Colorado from Winnipeg, MB, Canada, Stephen got his start singing in the Colorado Children’s Chorale. In high school, Stephen was active in theater and choir. Stephen attended the University of Colorado at Boulder and graduated with a Bachelor of Music Education with a Vocal Emphasis in 2003.
From 2003 through 2015, Stephen was the Choir Director at Skyline High School in Longmont, CO where his choirs received regular scores of “I – Superior” in multiple competition settings, and hundreds of students under his tutelage were accepted into The St. Vrain Valley Honor Choir, Colorado All-State Choir and Colorado All-State Jazz Choir.
As a choral clinician, he has directed the Adams County 14 Choral Festival Mixed Choir in 2006, the Northern Colorado Honor Choir Men’s Choir in 2009, the Patriot League Honor Choir and the Jefferson County Women’s Choir Festival in 2013, and was an adjudicator for the CHSAA Show Choir and Jazz Choir Festival, in 2007 and 2015, and the Colorado West Invitational Music Performance Festival in 2017.
Stephen is a singer in Face Vocal Band and is the music director and one of the primary arrangers for the group. Face performs regularly throughout Colorado and has toured across the United States and in Sweden, Australia, England, Scotland, Iceland, Luxembourg, and France.
Outside of music, Stephen cherishes all the time he can get with his beautiful supportive wife and three kids.
