I have been excited to see this information. I am a 70 year old Special Education teacher in a small rural district in Missouri. (East Carter County R-II). I agreed to set up a high needs functional skills classroom for IEP students. Since body planning is often a barrier for these students, I wanted to make it fun by using rhythm in planning curriculum. Since I am teaching every subject imaginable and then taking this cross curricular approach into the digital world of preparing to distance learn, anything I can absorb is totally welcomed. I asked our district’s 2 music teachers about Orff a few months ago but they thought in order to do it, you would have to have the expensive equipment. Who wouldn’t want those xylophones, but I decided to press forward. I had a bit of Orff in my Music Methods Class back in the 80″s. Still in pressing on I am excited about using that and rhythm with my kids. I did send this free webinar link to them. Watching this was worthwhile to me and learned a few things. You may know my sister and brother-in-law that own Midwest Sheet Music, Mark & Cindy Schellenberg. Thank You!
