This summer Roger Sams partnered with a team of elementary music teachers in the Rockwood School District in St. Louis, Missouri to plan for the possibility of online learning in the coming school year.
During this webinar, Megan Meier, Coordinator of Fine Arts, and music teachers Rachel Puleo and Katie Brown will share how they approached this collaboration and the processes they used. They will also share some of the video that they created to support music teaching and distance learning in the coming year.

Thank You so much for sharing this free webinar. I have been excited to see this information. I am a 70 year old Special Education teacher in a small rural district in Missouri. (East Carter County R-II). I agreed to set up a high needs functional skills classroom for IEP students. Since body planning is often a barrier for these students, I wanted to make it fun by using rhythm in planning curriculum. Since I am teaching every subject imaginable and then taking this cross curricular approach into the digital world of preparing to distance learn, anything I can absorb is totally welcomed. I asked our district’s 2 music teachers about Orff a few months ago but they thought in order to do it, you would have to have the expensive equipment. Who wouldn’t want those xylophones, but I decided to press forward. I had a bit of Orff in my Music Methods Class back in the 80″s. Still in pressing on I am excited about using that and rhythm with my kids. I did send this free webinar link to them. Watching this was worthwhile to me and learned a few things. You may know my sister and brother-in-law that own Midwest Sheet Music, Mark & Cindy Schellenberg. Thank You!
